  • 1 x 1912 Stilton® cheese, crumbled
  • Whole chicken, organic
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 celery sticks, cut in half
  • 3 tsbps of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cans of butterbeans, with the juice of 1 tin
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 x chicken stock
  • 3 tbsps of dried dill or fresh
  • 4 sprigs of rosemary

This roast chicken elevates your Sunday dinner in seconds with the addition of the creamy, tangy 1912 Stilton®. Pair this dish with all your favourite trimmings and unleash flavour in every bite.


1. On a roasting or baking tray lay the chopped onions and celery on the base, add the chicken on top & drizzle with olive oil all over and add a good amount of salt and pepper.

2. Pop into a preheated fan oven 180c for 30 mins.

3. Part way through, take out the chicken from the oven and add the butterbeans with the juice of one tin, along with 3 table spoons of dried dill, the stock cube, sliced lemon dotted around the chicken, give a little mix and then pop back into the oven for another 20 mins.

4. Next, take out the chicken and add the crumbled 1912 Stilton® cheese and sprigs of rosemary around the tray on top of the butterbean mix. Pop the tray back in the oven for a final 10 mins to melt the cheese.

5. Serve with a fresh salad, steamed vegetables or buttered bread for mopping up all the juices.
